Along the south bank of the Yarra, running from Princes Bridge towards Crown

Cross Princes Bridge and drop down to the south bank: bars and restaurants have set their tables right up to the water. The best hour is sunset, when the sun catches the CBD towers across the river, and it is also the busiest. Looking back towards the bridge you get Flinders Street Station and the cathedral spires in one frame. Rowing crews slide past on the Yarra. When your feet give out, any riverside bar will sell you a beer and a seat.
