Flinders Street Station
Flinders Street Station (main entrance, under the clocks)
Mustard dome, a row of clocks, Melbourne's meeting spot
- Hours
- Station open during train service hours
- Tickets
- Free to look at; trains use myki fares
- Address
- Corner of Flinders and Swanston Streets, directly opposite Federation Square
A mustard-and-cream station with a green copper dome takes up an entire corner of the intersection. Above the main steps hangs a row of clocks showing departure times for each line, and "meet you under the clocks" is how half of Melbourne makes plans. From the Fed Square steps across the road you get the whole facade in one frame, and once the lights come on at dusk the yellow gets richer. Inside it's just a busy station, so shoot from outside.
