A Manila old-timer said to date back to 1936; the Roxas Boulevard flagship is one road away from the Manila Bay promenade. Its calling card is sweet-glazed chicken barbecue off the grill with yellow java rice and peanut sauce. It's less a destination restaurant than the place Manila families have gone for generations, which makes it a good stop before or after a sunset walk on the bay.
