It is a bowl scooped out of the hillside, so during a show you watch stars over the white band shell. The summer tradition is to bring wine and a picnic to your seat. On non-event days the grounds and the Hollywood Bowl Museum are free to walk around. The concert season runs summer into fall, so check dates first. Roads clog on show nights; use the shuttle or park-and-ride.
