Out in the office district, this is where Lisboetas go on purpose for bacalhau. Icelandic salt cod is turned into dozens of dishes; bacalhau à Brás, scrambled with egg and shoestring potatoes, and pataniscas, cod fritters, are the basics. The founder's children have run it for fifty years, with white tablecloths and waiters in jackets. It sees fewer tourists than the centre, so the room is mostly locals.
