Opposite the church by Rossio, a shopfront the width of a door sells ginjinha, a sweet sour-cherry liqueur. There's nowhere to sit, so you take the little glass from the counter and drink it standing on the square. They'll ask com elas ou sem elas, with or without the cherries; with means boozy fruit at the bottom. It's known as the first shop in Lisbon to sell the stuff. One glass mid-stroll, morning or after dinner, is plenty.
