The park sits on the grounds of a former imperial villa, and the layout shows it: a terraced fountain and flower beds step down along one long axis, with roses, hydrangeas and chrysanthemums taking turns through the year. It is well west of downtown, so weekday benches are often empty. The upper paths open onto views of the Seto Inland Sea.
