The tram leaves Garden Road at such an angle that you're pressed back into your seat, and the towers outside seem to lean sideways. About ten minutes later you're at the Peak Tower, roughly 400 m up, and from Sky Terrace 428 on the roof the whole thing fits in one frame: Central's towers, Victoria Harbour, and Kowloon on the far shore. Go up a little before sunset and you can watch the city switch on. The catch is the queue at the bottom station, which gets very long at exactly that hour.
