The pillars and roofs are red and gold enough to make your eyes water at the gate. In front of the main hall people kneel and shake a cylinder until a numbered stick jumps out. They carry that number to the fortune-tellers' arcade outside for a reading. Incense crackling, the smell of it and the rattle of sticks make it hard to leave quickly.
