Its own website calls it Japan's first hostel with an outdoor hot spring. The natural open-air and indoor baths swap between men and women daily, and there are tatami dorms, capsule-style dorms, a women-only dorm and private tatami rooms. A full guest kitchen means you can cook your own dinner. A 9.7 on Hostelworld puts it near the top of Hakone's budget stays.
