An old Iranian kebab house with walls covered in customers' photos. The menu is short: lamb and chicken skewers over charcoal, buttered saffron rice, raw onion and tomato. Reviews keep saying the yoghurt-marinated lamb has almost none of the gamey smell people worry about. Around AED 40-70 a head, which is a full meal by Dubai standards. It is close to the Al Fahidi historic quarter, so it pairs easily with an Old Dubai afternoon.
