- Prins Jørgens Gård 1; parliament, royal reception rooms and supreme court under one roof
Parliament, the prime minister's office, the supreme court and the royal reception rooms all share this one palace, a rare arrangement anywhere. In the paid Royal Reception Rooms, a set of tapestries telling Danish history wraps the Great Hall, and down below are the ruins of Bishop Absalon's 12th-century castle. But the thing most visitors queue for is free: a lift up the 106-metre tower, the tallest in the city, for a 360-degree look over Copenhagen's copper roofs.
