Past the gate, lawns and ponds roll on and on. The park was laid out for a royal horticultural expo, so it is big, with the gilded Lanna-style Ho Kham Luang pavilion at its centre. An orchid garden and themed national gardens fill the walk, and an hour disappears quickly. If the distances look long, carts are available near the entrance.
