Zhong dumplings are small boiled dumplings filled only with minced pork, then doused in red chilli oil sweetened with sugar, garlic and soy. They're more sweet and nutty than fiery, so even spice-shy eaters keep reaching. Shops under the Zhong Shuijiao sign also sell dan dan noodles, chilli-oil wontons and other Chengdu snacks. This branch made the list because it's an easy bowl after wandering Kuanzhai Alley.
