Over about an hour and a half you get snippets of Sichuan opera, shadow puppets, hand puppets, fire-breathing and more, with face-changing saved for the finale. A performer flicks his head and the red face is suddenly blue, and even from the front row you can't see how. It's a teahouse-style theatre with tea poured at your seat, so it feels relaxed. Plenty of hotpot restaurants and teahouses stage face-changing too, but for a proper stage Shu Feng Ya Yun is the one most people recommend.
