Bingfen is Sichuan's summer dessert: clear, wobbly plant jelly under brown-sugar syrup, topped with peanuts, raisins or fruit. It exists to cool the mouth after spicy food, so hotpot places serve it too, but this small shop sells nothing else. Order at the counter and it comes to your table.
