Halfway up the hillside, white Roman-style columns, sweeping staircases and bronze lions appear out of nowhere. Businessman Teodorico Adarna began building it in 2012 in memory of his late wife, Leah. A large statue of her stands at the top of the stairs, and between the columns you look down over Cebu City to the sea off Mactan. Inner rooms display the couple's furniture and collections. It's no ancient ruin, but it photographs so well that nearly every Cebu city tour stops here.
