Punta Engaño Road at Mactan's northeastern tip, inside the Mactan Shrine grounds

A white obelisk stands on the shore lawn, said to have been raised by a Spanish friar in 1866. It marks where Magellan fell to Lapulapu's men in 1521. The Lapulapu statue is beside it, so two sides of one story sit side by side. It shares grounds with the Mactan Shrine, so you see both in one go.
