This is Cebu's biggest and oldest public market. Under the awnings, mangoes, mangosteens and bananas are piled high, and the lanes carry on into fish, dried squid, rice and flower stalls. Fruit is cheaper than at the city supermarkets, which is why long-stay visitors shop here. Jeepney horns, haggling and tricycles make it chaotic, but you won't see everyday Cebu at closer range. In the evening, stalls set up around the area for a night market.
