Past a maze of souvenir stalls, the middle of the market opens into a roofed food court: half waiters waving menus at you, half office workers on lunch. This is where to try cochinita pibil, Yucatán's achiote-braised pork, on a crisp panucho, plus ceviche and lime soup, for little money. Wikivoyage warns it's a tourist market: prices run higher and bargaining is expected.
