When the sun goes down, this is where Cancún comes out. Stalls light up around the edge of the square, and queues form at marquesita carts where thin crêpes crisp on round irons before being rolled around cheese. Weekends bring shows on the stage and kids running about with balloons. Tacos priced in dollars in the Hotel Zone are priced in pesos here. The easiest way to see what Cancún is like beyond the resorts.
