The downtown square where Cancún families gather after dark. Around the edges, vendors press batter in a waffle iron, fill it with Edam cheese and Nutella and roll it into a marquesita, the Yucatán's street-sweet signature. Add a cup of esquites (corn with mayo, cheese and chili), sugared churros, and stalls of tacos and panuchos, and dinner sorts itself out. Per Wikivoyage the stalls run from evening to around midnight, with tacos from about MX$30 (Jan 2025).
