A restaurant-café named after Naguib Mahfouz, who won the 1988 Nobel Prize in Literature. Arched doorways, wooden mashrabiya screens and brass lamps make it a calm contrast to the bazaar outside. The menu runs to kebab, kofta, grilled chicken and Turkish coffee. It is a popular lunch stop on a Khan el-Khalili day. There is a per-person minimum charge, so it is not a tea-only stop.
