A few tables set out in a back alley of the bazaar, with pigeons on the grill. The signature is hamam mahshi, whole pigeon stuffed with rice or freekeh and roasted; there is charcoal kebab and kofta too. Being right by Khan el-Khalili, it is the name local food guides give for pigeon near the market. Small bones, little meat: this is a hands-on dish.
