The old Donghae Nambu railway, retired from regular service, now carries two kinds of sightseeing ride along 4.8 km of coast from Mipo to Songjeong. Up on an elevated rail, candy-coloured Sky Capsules for two to four people crawl between Mipo and Cheongsapo; below, the Beach Train with sea-facing seats runs all the way to Songjeong. The capsules are private little pods, so they're built for couple and family photos, while the train's big windows keep the sea at your elbow past the Cheongsapo lighthouses and the Daritdol skywalk. The classic loop: capsule from Mipo to Cheongsapo, a round of grilled clams, then the train back.
