A yellow neo-baroque palace wraps around a courtyard with outdoor thermal pools in the middle. In winter the water steams and people stand chest-deep over floating chessboards. Inside there are more pools at different temperatures plus saunas, so a single loop eats an afternoon. It opened in 1913 and is one of the largest spa complexes in Europe. Note that Gellért Bath, the famous Art Nouveau one, shut on 1 October 2025 for a multi-year renovation and is not expected back before 2028, so this year your choices are here and Rudas.
