A castle out of a picture book sits on the lake, but it is a collage rather than one building: copies of buildings from all over the old Kingdom of Hungary. It went up in 1896 as a temporary exhibition set for the millennium and the city liked it so much it was rebuilt in stone and brick. A Romanesque church, a Gothic tower, Renaissance windows and a Baroque palace run into each other, and the Baroque wing houses the Museum of Agriculture. In winter the lake becomes an ice rink; in summer, paddle boats.
