The roof gets you first: diamond patterns of orange, green and yellow Zsolnay ceramic tiles that glitter in the sun. Inside, every pillar and wall is painted in red, gold and green motifs, so it feels less like a church than the inside of an ornate box. Hungarian kings were crowned here. A separate tower ticket takes you up a narrow staircase for a view down over Fisherman's Bastion and the river.
