The Orchid sits deep in Baochao Hutong east of the Drum Tower, in a restored courtyard house. With around ten rooms, the lobby feels more like a living room. Rooms are compact but come with private bathrooms, and trees fill the courtyard. A rooftop cocktail bar looks across low grey roofs toward the Drum Tower at dusk. Step out of the lane and Nanluoguxiang is a short walk away.
