About 6 km south of the CBD; entrance at 670 Manukau Road (Cornwall Park gates too)

The lower slopes are Cornwall Park, which is also a working farm, so sheep graze right beside the paths. Wander up through big old trees to the 182 m summit, where a 21-metre stone obelisk stands next to the grave of Sir John Logan Campbell, who gave the park to the city. The original 'one tree' is long gone; tōtara and pōhutukawa saplings went in on the spot in 2016. Far fewer tourists than Mount Eden, so the summit view is yours to enjoy quietly.
