Lean on the railing at Mihuntai and the ground drops away into hundreds of sandstone needles, with mist sliding slowly between them. One of them, standing alone with a few pines on its crown, is the pillar sold as the 'Avatar Hallelujah Mountain', properly Qiankun Column. The same plateau has the First Bridge Under Heaven, a natural rock span joining two summits. Paths are mostly level: an hour or so covers the main lookouts, half a day covers the lot. Most people link it with Tianzi Mountain or Yangjiajie by eco-bus on the same day.
