This is the only Tibetan Buddhist temple in Xi'an. In the courtyard a golden Sakyamuni statue sits on a Tang-dynasty stone pedestal. Monks light incense and walk their rounds, and it is quiet enough to hear your own footsteps. The site is small, but finding this kind of calm inside the old city is the point.
