It is a good fit for a rainy afternoon. Under the glass floor on the ground level, a Tang street lies as it was found, with cart ruts, a drainage ditch, a stone bridge and shop foundations. This was the West Market of Chang'an, where merchants off the Silk Road unloaded their goods. Upstairs, the exhibits follow traders, coins and goods from the west. Outside, the plaza next door has a Tang-style shopping street.
