When the sun goes down the Tang-style buildings along this 2 km boulevard light up all at once. People in rented hanfu crowd the street and shows pop up along the way: a comedy Q&A with two 'Tang officials', a float parade, a big finale stage on Kaiyuan Square, and the famous swaying 'tumbler girl' who leans out to touch hands. It's all free. It's a 2010s theme street, not a relic, but the picture most people bring home from a Xi'an night comes from here.
