It began in 1936 selling a single kind of boiled dumpling; now it's a dumpling-banquet house with the motto 'one dumpling, one shape'. Steamed, boiled, fried and pan-browned dumplings shaped like frogs, ducks and walnuts fill the lazy Susan course after course. The building is big enough to need a lift; the upstairs windows face the Bell Tower, and you leave to the Drum Tower glowing at sunset. If a full banquet is too much, order sour-soup dumplings or a single plate of shaped dumplings downstairs.
