It is a 15-minute drive from Downtown, yet the 55 acres here hold lakes, woodland and plants gathered from every continent. The hedge maze in the middle catches adults out too. Cherry blossom and rhododendrons light it up in spring, and maples crowd the ponds in autumn. From late November the whole garden is lit after dark for the winter lights festival, one of the biggest events of Vancouver's winter.
