In a city where most places shut by 10pm, this bakery café keeps the lights on 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It began as a family shop in the Sunset neighbourhood in 2006 and now has branches all over town, including Davie, Bute, Denman and West Hastings. Big, cheap cake slices make it a student and working-holiday favourite. Get the Cretzel ham and cheese melt (croissant meets pretzel) warmed up, or a slice of Bienenstich, the German honey-almond cake.
