The gleaming new building behind the square moves you through time floor by floor: Xiongnu and Turkic khaganates, Chinggis and his heirs, the Yuan dynasty, Qing rule and the Bogd Khan era, with more than 10,000 original objects. Floor 3 holds the Khüis Tolgoi inscription, counted among the oldest Mongolic texts, and the Yuan section even touches on Goryeo ceramics. The Hall of the Great Khaan on the ninth floor needs its own ticket.
