A roastery café in a pump house built around 1895 inside the Distillery District, the old Victorian whisky complex. Open the green door and you're in a high-ceilinged, Parisian-feeling room with a chandelier. Grab a seat on the upstairs balcony to look down over the whole bar. Being Canada, the maple latte is the popular order. Balzac's has several branches, but this is the one people call the prettiest.
