The home where sculptor Fumio Asakura lived and worked is now the museum. Take off your shoes and you step into a tall-ceilinged studio with large figures, with a courtyard pond at the heart of the house. Climb to the roof and a small garden looks out over Yanaka's low roofs. He loved cats, and cat sculptures turn up. On a quiet afternoon time slows here.
