Step out of the lift, climb a few stairs, and there's nothing above you but sky. Over the glass rail the Scramble Crossing empties and refills like an ant farm, Tokyo Tower stands at one end of the skyline and Skytree at the other, and on a clear day you can pick out Mt Fuji to the west. The rope hammocks in the middle of the roof are for lying back and staring up, and at sunset people fight for them. Nothing blocks the wind up here, so winter evenings bite.
