It began in 2004 as a tiny shop on the corner of Bourke and Devonshire streets. There are now more than a dozen branches, but the original is still cramped, and people eat their pies on the benches outside. Pies sit in a warmer out the back, so you order by name from the board. Reviews keep naming the same three: the beef pie, the lamb, almond and harissa sausage roll, and the ginger brûlée tart.
