An 8.6m statue with a lion's head and a fish's body spits water into the bay all day and all night. It first stood at the river mouth in 1972 and was moved here when a new bridge blocked the view. Marina Bay Sands sits dead opposite across the water, so the pose everyone does is pretending to drink from the jet. At night the Spectra laser and fountain show plays on the far side by the Event Plaza; from here it's small and faint, so cross over to Marina Bay Sands if the show is the point.
