A U-shaped terrace with red-cushioned chairs on the 14th floor of The Peninsula, at the very top of the Bund. At the rail the Pearl Tower and Lujiazui towers stand straight across the river, the Bund buildings march off to the south on your right, and Suzhou Creek and the Waibaidu Bridge sit just below. The cocktails take odd turns, persimmon with tomato, a black-truffle not-quite-margarita, and small plates such as oysters, tuna tartare and a wagyu burger are served from 5 to 11 p.m.
