Kyoto-born % Arabica runs this roastery on the ground floor of the Associated Mission Building on Yuanmingyuan Road, the row of old buildings at the north end of the Bund. A Probat roaster sits behind the corner glass, so you can watch the beans turn from the street. Inside, a long glossy white ceramic bar runs the length of the room, and the old terrazzo floor and sanded concrete pillars were kept as they were. There are outdoor seats by both entrances, handy for a coffee break on a Bund walk.
