Three minutes' walk from Wukang Mansion, on the second floor of the Ferguson Lane building with Peet's Coffee downstairs. The lift opens onto red walls, a 龍門陣 sign and palm-leaf fans turning lazily overhead, with plane-tree leaves filling the big windows. It moved here from Donghu Road in 2018. Visitors come mostly for the mapo tofu and the basil cocktail, and plenty write that they come back every trip. The Sichuan pepper hits hard, so if you're shy of mala, lean on the cucumber salad and egg fried rice between bites.
