Sightseeing boats leave Shiliupu Wharf at the south end of the Bund, head upriver and turn back. On one side the Bund's stone banks glow gold; on the other the Oriental Pearl and the Shanghai Tower cycle through colours. A loop is usually around 50 minutes, and the open top deck is the spot, so people sprint for the stairs the moment they board. The river wind is stronger than you'd think; review after review says to bring a light jacket even in summer.
