There's a line outside Guangmingcun at 588 Middle Huaihai Road in every season. Everyone is waiting for xianrou yuebing, flaky mooncakes packed with minced pork. They're baked on site and handed over hot, so you get shattering layers of pastry and steaming meat in one bite. Eleven days before Mid-Autumn 2025, the line bent round onto South Chengdu Road and people stood for four to five hours. Go in knowing it's savoury, not sweet.
