Stroll along the river and a twelve-sided tower of golden stone stands on its own by the water. The Almohads built it in the early 13th century to guard the river, and a chain is said to have run across to a matching tower on the other bank. Inside is a small naval museum with Age of Discovery maps and model ships, and the stairs end at a little terrace looking over the river, Triana and the bullring. It's small enough to see in half an hour, and at night the floodlit tower throws a gold reflection on the water.
