Here lives the Esperanza Macarena Virgin, the statue carried in the early-hours Holy Week procession. Devotees stand in front of her for long stretches, which says plenty about what Holy Week means in this city. The museum beside it shows the procession's gold-thread mantles and ornate floats. Cross the road and a stretch of the medieval city wall still stands.
